Clinical Assessment
Start with the problem. Not the treatment.
You do not need to know which technique, exercise or treatment you need before you come in. That is part of my job.
I want to understand what is limiting you, what you have already tried, and what you need to be able to do again. From there, we decide what is worth working on.
The 4R System
Your treatment plan is made up of four elements, in varying proportions:
Release
Manual therapy to restore flexibility and range of motion.
Redistribute
Motor control training to reduce unnecessary load on your body.
Recalibrate
A thorough understanding of why your problem happens, where you are now, and what you need to do.
Recondition
A tailored exercise programme to strengthen your body.
TMD & Orofacial Pain
When jaw pain is only part of the problem.
You may be experiencing:
- Pain with mouth opening, eating, yawing
- Clicking
- Non-odontogenic toothache
- Bruxism or clenching
- Ear pain when clearance from ENT
- Ear pain
For people experiencing persistent jaw pain, difficulty chewing, restricted mouth opening, headaches, or facial pain that may not be fully catered by dental management and medication.
My role is to assess your temporomandibular joint, related muscle and nerve, breathing pattern, cervical, posture and pain mechanisms, so that I can provide appropriate musculoskeletal management. Where appropriate, I also work alongside dentists and other healthcare professionals as part of a broader approach to care.

When the problem keeps coming back.
This may be relevant if you are dealing with:
- Persistent pain
- Recurrent injuries
- Training-related problems
- Movement limitations
- Strength deficits
- Difficulty returning to normal activity
For people dealing with persistent pain, recurrent injuries, or movement problems that affect everyday life, work, exercise or sport.
Rather than focusing only on where it hurts, my role is to look for the factors that may be limiting your recovery, including movement pattern, mobility strength, pain, confidence, training load, or the demands of your daily activities.
Rehabilitation × Strength & Conditioning
Don’t stop at feeling better.
If you train, your rehabilitation should eventually prepare you for training:
The gym · Running · Strength training · Sport · Higher physical demands
If you lift, it should prepare you to lift. If you run, it should prepare you to run. The progression usually moves from:
- Symptom management
- Capacity building
- Performance
For people who want more than simply feeling better, whether that means returning to lifting, running, sport, work, or higher levels of physical activity. Rehabilitation is not always just about getting you back to pain-free movement.
My role also focus on rebuilding the strength, confidence and physical capacity needed to handle the demands you want to return to.
Men’s Health
Pelvic floor problems deserve good clinical reasoning too.
For men looking for support with physical function, pelvic health, pelvic floor rehabilitation, or other concerns that may affect confidence and quality of life. Men's health is not just about doing Kegel's.
My role is to look into your daily habits, pelvic floor function, posture, movement pattern and breathing.

What is happening?
You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis. We start with your problem.
What has changed?
How the problem has behaved over time usually tells us more than a single snapshot.
What have you tried?
What helped, what didn’t, and what that suggests about the problem.
What matters most to you?
The activity you want back shapes what we work on and in what order.
What is worth examining?
From there I work out what needs to be examined and what information will actually help us make a better decision.
What is the next step?
Sometimes the answer is straightforward. Sometimes it is not. Either way the aim is the same.
What if the first hypothesis is wrong?
That is useful information.
The plan changes because the problem becomes clearer — not because the first plan failed.
Continuity of care
Your rehabilitation continues between consultations.
Your first session is only the beginning.
After your consultation, you can continue working towards your personalised goals with exercise guidance and videos designed around your rehabilitation. You can track and log your exercises as you progress.
This helps keep your rehabilitation connected between appointments — rather than treating every consultation as a completely separate event.
You leave the clinic with clearer direction for what comes next, and the confidence to keep moving forward.
Between consultations
Rehabilitation happens outside the treatment room too.
The things you do between consultations are part of the clinical picture. Whether you are returning to running, lifting, work or everyday activities, your response to real-life demands helps us understand what needs attention next.
The goal is not simply to make a session go well. It is to help you function better outside the clinic.
