A one-to-one assessment to understand your problem, clarify what is limiting your progress, and agree on the next step.
From there, your rehabilitation continues beyond the consultation through your personalised goals and exercise programme. You can refer back to your exercise videos, track your work and log your progress between appointments.
An initial consultation designed to understand your problem, identify what may be limiting your progress, and determine the most appropriate next step.
What Your HK$1,000 Consultation Includes
Your consultation is not simply an appointment for treatment. It is dedicated time to understand your problem properly and work out what should happen next. Depending on what you need, this may include:
- Clinical assessment
- Understanding your symptoms, movement, strength, function and relevant contributing factors.
- Clinical reasoning & explanation
- A clear explanation of what I find, what may be contributing to your problem, and what we currently know — and do not know.
- Individualised treatment
- Treatment selected according to what is useful for you. This may include hands-on treatment, exercise, movement retraining, education or a combination.
- A plan for what comes next
- A clearer direction for rehabilitation, training modification, further assessment or referral when appropriate.
- Between-session rehabilitation support
- Where appropriate, your exercise programme and progress can continue through the client portal between consultations.
To help you decide whether this is the right practice for you, the following expectations may not match what I offer:
- Electrical modalities
- Expecting electrical modalities, or thinking they are a must-have for rehabilitation. My practice does not have them, nor do I treat them as a treatment staple.
- Craniosacral / visceral techniques
- Expecting manual therapy techniques including craniosacral therapy or visceral manipulation. I have not received training in these techniques.
- Spinal manipulation / "bone crack"
- Expecting spinal manipulation or "bone cracking", or thinking they are a must-have for rehabilitation. They are not my treatment staple.
